Evaluation and Assessments 

At our school, we prioritize a healthy evaluation and assessment pattern that focuses on grading rather than marks and comparisons. We believe that traditional grading systems can sometimes create unnecessary competition and pressure among students, leading to stress and anxiety. Instead, our assessment approach is designed to be more holistic, emphasizing the individual growth and progress of each student. 

In our grading system, students are evaluated based on a variety of criteria, including class participation, project work, presentations, quizzes, and exams. Rather than solely focusing on numerical scores or rankings, we place emphasis on assessing students’ understanding of concepts, critical thinking skills, creativity, and overall engagement in the learning process. 

Furthermore, our assessment approach is formative in nature, meaning that it is ongoing and provides continuous feedback to students throughout the learning journey. Teachers regularly monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them identify areas for improvement and build upon their strengths. 

Additionally, we maintain a student-teacher ratio of 25:1 to ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support. This smaller class size allows teachers to better understand the unique learning needs and preferences of each student, tailor instruction to meet individual needs, and provide targeted support when necessary. 

By emphasizing grading over marks and comparisons and maintaining a low student-teacher ratio, we create a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed. Our assessment approach promotes a growth mindset, encourages collaboration and teamwork, and focuses on the development of well-rounded individuals who are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in the 21st century.
